HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALLANDALE WINE CRAFTERS!
Happy New Year to all. Hope you all had a terrific holiday season with your families and friends. It's always nice to get this year end break but unfortunately we always have to return to reality.
We have some new wines in for the start of the New Year.
RQ Cru Select Limited Editions
South African Chenin Blanc Sauvignon Blanc
Light straw-coloured, with pleasing aromas of apple, cantaloupe, spice, and subtle vanilla aromas that lift effortlessly from the glass. Medium-bodied, the palate is dry with a rich mouth-feel and a lingering mineral and tropical fruit finish.
Dry, medium-bodied with light oak. Pair with sushi, lightly grilled chicken, spring vegetables like asparagus or peas.
Chile Cabernet Merlot
This full-bodied and smooth red wine opens with a well-defined bouquet of dried prunes, blackberry and raspberry. Characteristics of black fruit, herbaceous notes and slight hints of chocolate make this an easy drinking wine that offers well-rounded tannins and a velvety finish.
Dry, full-bodied with medium-heavy oak. Pair with seared lamb shoulder chops with dill, pea and parsley risotto and sweet potato gratin.

Australian Sauvignon Blanc - tropical and citrus fruits are in the bouquet of this unique, medium-to-full bodied white wine. This exciting and complex wine bursts with flavours of pineapple, passionfruit, and stone fruit with a hint of herbaceousness. The finish offers a refreshing zing of acidity.
Dry, medium bodied with no oak.
Chilean Merlot - this full-bodied wine is fermented on Genuwine Winery Dried Grape Skins and heavy toasted French oak shavings. It offers elevated succulent juicy berry flavours accentuated by delicate aroma notes of coffee and vanilla.
