Merlot VDV - a soft, medium- bodied and generously fruity dry red wine. Delicately laced with oak.
Sauvignon VDV - pale straw in colour, intense aromas of honeydew melon and pears entice the nose while zesty flavours of grapefruit and herbs grace the palate.
Make a 6 week Cellar Classic Italian Pinot Grigio or Cellar Classic Cabernet Sauvignon and get $10.00 off. Make a second of the same two choices and get an additional $15.00 off.
CC Italian Pinot Grigio - crisp and flavourful, this wine has delicate floral notes with tropical fruit aromas and hints of green apple, melon and citrus. Soft and fruity, yet assertive and dry.
CC Cabernet Sauvignon - prized for its depth of flavour and aroma, it boasts a cherry-currant flavour with herbal undertones, nicely rounded with oak.
We are also featuring Restricted Quantities of the following two wines.
They are made by Cru Select and are 6 week wines.
First, the Chile Cabernet Merlot. This full-bodied and smooth red wine opens with a well-defined bouquet of dried prunes, blackberry and raspberry. Characteristics of black fruit, herbaceous notes and slight hints of chocolate make this an easy drinking wine that offers well-rounded tannins and a velvety finish.
Then the South Africa Chenin Sauvignon Blanc. Light straw-coloured, with pleasing aromas of apple, cantaloupe, spice and vanilla aromas that lift effortlessly from the glass. Medium-bodied, the palate is dry with rich mouth-feel and a lingering mineral and tropical fruit finish.
