June is here and so are the sunny days of summer! Make sure you have lots of wine on hand for all those patio get-togethers! To help you stock up we are featuring the following wines for the month of June.

Gran Cru International 5 Week Wines as follows:

French Rose
Made in the classic French rose style, it is light-bodied and pink in colour with spiced strawberry and crisp, citrus aromas. The palate features fresh strawberry flavours with a refreshing fruity finish.

Chile Cabernet Merlot
A robust bouquet of warm dark fruit and tobacco leads to elevated aromas of ripe black currants and cherries. Layers of coffee and dark plum notes unfold to reveal a traditional Chilean dry wine with supple tannins.

Italian Pinot Grigio
An enticing deep apple and grapefruit bouquet with apple and citrus notes that follow through to the palate and linger with a dry finish. This Pinot Grigio is made in the true northern Italian style.
onoaked, light bodied, dry

British Columbia Pinot Noir
As one would expect from a BC style Pinot Noir, this wine features aromas of black cherries and fresh strawberries. Silky tannins while subtle notes of pepper and spice round out the palate.

Some news regarding Allandale Wine Crafters! I have decided to retire and join my husband Glenn in the world of retirees.  Effective today Jessi Arrowsmith and Nick Robbins will be running the store. Many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting these two young people. All your purchasing history remains with the store, so don’t worry. Jessi and Nick will be able to figure out what you like and keep things as much the same as possible. Glenn and I wish them the best of luck in this new adventure, and hope they get as much pleasure from meeting all of you as we have. We will miss you all and hope that we run into you on occasion.
