Hello my friends! We have some very exciting news for November! 
We are hosting our first wine tasting event on Saturday, December 8 at 4-7pm. We will be providing 5 samples of wine with food pairings! These will be benchmark wines to give you an idea of what the 2019 Restricted Quantity wines will taste like, which will be available this winter, as well as the Hightail Merlot which is available in store as of today! Tickets are $25 each and give you a $10 coupon to be used on any 2019 RQ. We are also donating $5 from each ticket to the Barrie Women and Children’s Shelter. Please RSVP by November 30^th. 

The 2019 RQ line up is as follows:
December- Chile Cabernet Merlot Syrah This full-bodied dry wine presents aromas of juicy blackberries, cassis, mocha and spices. On the palate, it showcases polished tannins and a smooth finish

Oak: Medium | Body: Full | Sweetness: Dry

January- Australia Chardonnay Semillon
This dry wine features refreshing aromas of white flowers, golden delicious apples, lemon custard, and vanilla. Enjoy freshness on the palate, with a touch of oaky flavours.

Oak: Light | Body: Medium | Sweetness: Dry

February- Italy Nebbiolo
Featuring aromas of black cherries, dark berries, dried pink and purple flowers, and spices – this dry wine will be the perfect complement to your meaty dishes! It offers a broad texture, as well as polished tannins on the palate.

Oak: Light | Body: Full | Sweetness: Dry

March- Spain Monastrell
This dry wine unveils aromas of black and red berries, black pepper and spices from oak. On the palate, it presents woody flavours and polished tannins for a bold finish.

Oak: Heavy | Body: Full | Sweetness: Dry

The Hightail Niagara Merlot is now in store! With vineyard-fresh grapes picked, pressed, and packed within 48 hours from the Niagara region, this Merlot will entice your senses with aromas of raspberry, cherry, cocoa and cedar. Finish with the unveiled flavours of ripe red berries, vanilla, mocha and baking spices on the palate. There is no fresher product in our line up than our Hightail products!

This month’s specials are the 5 week Cru International following selections for $10 off:

Germany Gewurztraminer- Made in the style of one of Germany’s most renowned whites, this Gewürztraminer style is balanced and crisp with bold tropical fruits on the palate.

Ontario Sauvignon Blanc- Straw in colour with a refreshing grassy nose; bold herbal tones and fresh citrus flavours on the palate. This wine is as delightful as a cool Ontario Fall day, its finish both long and fruity.

British Columbia Pinot Noir- As one would expect from a BC style Pinot Noir, this wine features aromas of black cherries and fresh strawberries. Silky tannins while subtle notes of pepper and spice round out the palate.

Italy Sangiovese- Perhaps Italy’s best loved grape from Tuscany, this wine is expressive on the palate with lively cherry fruit and a brisk acidity supported by ample smooth tannins with a deep and lingering finish.

We still have a few of our Okanagan Meritage available too! Only 4 left so get them quickly before this limited release is gone! This dry, medium-bodied wine opens on the nose with delicious aromas of red currant, cassis, vanilla, cigar box, and spices. On the palate, it unveils a round mouthfeel with polished tannins for a supported finish.
