Summer Camp is now in full swing! This week it's "Around the world in 5 Days" and today the kids 'visited' Papua New Guinea! Chef Steve recreated 'mumu' for lunch, a ceremonial pit bake with pork, root vegetables and coconut. The kids devoured it! Special thanks to the 'Green Mango Tree' Thai restaurant for supplying the banana leaves for the kids to eat their mumu off of~ what an experience!

This Friday is our annual Mother's Day Afternoon Tea! Mothers and grandmothers will spend an afternoon with their children doing various crafts such as potting flowers, making necklaces, etc before enjoying a delicious tea of scones with jam and cream, cakes, squares, with tea/coffee all prepared by Chef Steve.

It's Space Week in the Wallaby Classroom! The kids are learning about our solar system and watching clips from Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield on board the International Space Station as he shows us what's it's like to live in zero gravity!

Our annual Book Week! The children dressed up as their favorite book characters and then presented their fav books to their respective classes. We've also had special guest readers in all week, sometimes as many as 3 per day! The walls are adorned with the children's bookworms as well as dozens of book related quotes. It's been a tremendously successful week!

This week will see the first of 3 new dishes that Chef Steve will introduce to the preschool over the next few weeks. On Friday we'll be served pasta with a pan sauce of tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil! We can't wait...!
