Easter is coming up on us rapidly...What your your plans for family entertainment? If you are like the majority of people, you are spending from dusk to dawn preparing a family feast that is fit for a King. The summer season is coming up, and grilling season is here. Here are some tips to help you get your grill ready for a full season of tasty grilled treats.

  1. make sure the body of your grill is in solid shape.  make sure there are no cracks in the lower body, the lid is free from defects and the handle is solid.  
  2. Make sure the inside of the grill box is not scaling apart.  What this means: when scaling occurs it means that the grill box is corroding from the inside and breaking apart.  when this occurs the box becomes weak.in the bottom.  This can be particularly dangerous if you are using charcoal or wood to heat your grill, as a weakened grill box may collapse and cause a fire and/or serious injury due to burns.
  3. Make sure that the grill itself is clean and in working shape.  if it is damaged or is warped in any way, replace it.
  4. For gas grills, make sure the burner is free clogs and is free from damage. I damaged replace it. 
  5. Check the hose and igniter.  The most important is the hose, because.any cracks or holes can result in a leak for gas to escape, resulting in a potential explosion hazard.
  6. Tanks.  Under the law, filling stations can not refill your tanks if it is over 10 years old, in fact may refuse to refill them after 5.  Most gas stations, Canadian Tire Stores, and some hardware stores actually have vending machines that let you pay a reduced cost for a full tank when you exchange your old tank.
  7. to protect your grill from the elements, after it has cooled down from use, use a proper grill cover.
