BACK on the RACK is an upscale resale
store, located in Barrie Ontario, for women size 0-24+. We feature
quality women’s clothing, shoes and accessories that have been
previously owned and gently used.
We feature top designer fashions at bargain prices, including many
new items from brand name stores. Discover our collection of trendy and
upscale woman's clothing on consignment. Our selection of purses,
jewelry, shoes and accessories is second to none.
At BACK on the RACK we select our new styles from our
consignors based on age of the garment, style, the season and how
appealing the item is going to be to the shopper. No matter when you
visit, we’ll always have something new and exciting on our racks.
We accept new and nearly new items daily so you will have a selection of different items to choose from.
POLICIES Thank you for choosing Back on the Rack Resale Boutique to sell your quality used clothing.
Please ensure that your items are no more that 2-3 years old,
freshly washed, pressed and come into the store on hangers. We will
return your hangers to you, we just want to keep your items wrinkle
free. Anything that may require dry cleaning, we suggest you let us
see it first, in the event it is something we don't think we can sell
for you, we don't want you to spend the money.
Please make an appointment to bring your items into the store,
unless you have only 2-3 pieces. Each appointment is booked on the hour
and we recommend approximately 15-20 pieces per appointment. As a
courtesy we expect some
notice of cancellation to allow someone else to use the time slot.
We will be taking Fall/Winter items from August until January and Spring/Summer items from February until July.
Our store hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 4pm.
During the months of July and August our Saturday hours are 10am to 3pm.
When you bring your items into the store, we will look at each piece
and price it according to what we think it will sell for. The price is
based on condition, brand, style and demand. After the item sells you
will receive 40% of the sale. We reserve the right to refuse an item
based on style, condition and current inventory levels.
We accept everything from blue jeans to formal wear including
shoes, belts, purses, scarves and some costume jewellery. All items
must be up-to-date styles and in perfect condition. We will take fur
coats in season, but we do not take wedding dresses.
We keep your items in the store for two months/60 days. After 50
days the item will be reduced to half price and after 60 days if still
not sold will be sent to a local women's shelter. Please remember your
pick-up date if you do not wish any items to be sent to charity, as we
do not phone to remind you. Please call us in advance of your date so
that we may collect your items and have them ready for pick-up.
Any monies owing to you for items sold will be held in your account
for two years after the date of sale and can be picked up anytime during
that period. Feel free to call every 2-3 weeks to check the status of
your account. We do not call you if items are sold.
The consignment fee is 60% of the sale, therefore you will receive
40% after the sale of your items. A one time administration fee of
$2.00 for account set-up will be charged to each new account.
