BARRIE LAUNCHES MARCH 18th 2014
Community Wholeness Centre Barrie (CWC) announces the
opening of Barrie's first holistic,
community and volunteer centre located in the heart of Barrie's downtown
core. 59 Maple Avenue.
Community Wholeness Centre Barrie is committed to
bringing balance and quality of life to all members of the community by helping
others to empower themselves through self-health and self-awareness. Our programs and services will offer a wide
range of holistic practices that feed the mind, body and spirit.
Ancient healing modalities offer a more proactive
alternative to personal healthcare and have been around for centuries but not
made available to the community in a readily affordable means. CWC Barrie offers programs and services like
Yoga, Pilates, meditation Zumba, and Tai Chi Qigong. Programs are available for young and old,
often with adult and children’s programs running in parallel. Mixed classes with moms/dads & tots are
being developed, as well as programs for the disabled, seniors or those with
limited mobility like Wheel-In Wednesdays, Chair Yoga & Meditation classes. All are welcome at the CWC Barrie.
Membership can take advantage of unlimited classes for as
little as $1.64 / day. Memberships are
available to individuals and are transferable to family members; Business
Memberships can also be purchased for $50/mth with an enhanced option of adding
additional employees for an additional $10.00 each monthly. CWC is also offering a sponsored membership
program for our community’s volunteers. Each

Barrie is honoured to be preserving the $350,000 investment made into the space
formerly known as the Maple Avenue Youth Centre. We are also fortunate to be developing a volunteer
hub for all volunteers in our City who continue to give selflessly of their
gifts of time, talent and giving back to our Community. Our centre will give
them a space to practice self-health and self–development through our sponsored
volunteer membership program.

Other fee based services will include in house Reiki, Massage
Therapy, Bodytalk Therapy, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Indian head massage, Shamanic
Healing and others. Office and studio
space will be available for rent by the day or hour as well we will have a boutique,
with gifts, clothing apparel, healthy snacks, smoothies and a Naturopathic Farmacy
(non-traditional medicinal).
Program Director and Co-founder of CWC, Dave Reynolds
joins Joanne Lougheed Yoga, Blairish Kovacs Tai Chi Qigong & Reiki, Janine
Hutchinson Bbodytalk, Reiki and Shamaic healer, Caleigh Clark Yoga, Lois
Bickley Qigong to name a few will join us as we open our doors to the public.
On March 18th, everyone giving back to Community will be
invited for a tour of our facility followed by an evening of stand-up comedy and
live entertainment. Formal Invitation will follow.
