Welcome to The Barrie Community Wholeness Centre (CWC), located in the heart of downtown Barrie at 59 Maple Avenue. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9am - 6:00pm. Saturdays and Sundays are open to members and community groups who have signed up for classes or the use of our facility. (CWC) Barrie is a Holistic Cente, a Volunteer Centre (hub) and Multi-use Community Centre dedicated to bringing balanced energy and quality of life by promoting self-awareness, self health, volunteerism and other initiatives that give back to our community.
"We are first and foremost a holistic centre offering many open classes and several one on one holistic practices including Reiki, Garuda Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Accupuncture, Body Talk, Esoteric Healing and much more. Second we are a Volunteer Centre or Volunteer hub that will evolve in 5 phases but for now is calling all volunteers in our community to register in our database, be counted and then take advantage of affordable self-health programming in our open classes or with a fee for service practitioner. The objective for our volunteers is providing them with a space to call home, recharge and then continue to give back to the many organizations they serve, organizations that we will reach out to and support with needs that they deem will be helpful states Yolanda Gallo, Founder and Executive Director.
CWC has created the space for ALL community to come enjoy and share in healthy living practices in the heart of our beautiful city. To date we have several community groups who are using our facility and have secured 3 full-time tenants with 2 shared offices for our one on one holistic services. Starting at 9:00am tomorrow morning we are looking forward to adding to our already existing membership base.
Gallo Said "It seemed fitting to officially open our doors the week before National Volunteer Week as our guiding philosophy is embracing and building community". That is the focus that will guide Community Wholeness Centre Barrie in offering skills development, workshops and formal training for all Volunteers, Caregivers, Not for Profit Organizations, Charities, the physically disabled and the Art & Culture communities.
Gallo is joined by Dave Reynolds, Co-founder and Program Director - together they
look forward to serving you and creating a vibrant and healthy community in the heart of downtown Barrie.

Mayor Jeff Lehman “I think the proposal for a Volunteer Centre is
a good idea that can help those who give selflessly of their own time and
energy get access to programs and support that wouldn’t otherwise be available
to them. It will definitely add to our already caring community.”
Donna Douglas
“Volunteers are the backbone of any community
endeavour. They provide the energy that pushes great ideas over the top.
And, volunteering is the backbone of a healthy, complete lifestyle for
any individual. This takes us outside of ourselves, and gives us the
opportunity to be truly part of something great.”
