In March 2010, our office added a new visual field analyzer to the office to improve the efficiency and reliability of visual field testing. The new software is capable of completing full and accurate vision analysis in as little as two minutes per eye, when previously it could take 5-15 minutes per eye.

Our Visual field Analysis measures how well an eye can see both centrally (straight ahead) and peripherally (to the sides). It is most commonly used to detect and monitor glaucoma which can result in reduced peripheral or “side” vision.

Digital Retinal Imaging is a new technology which allows us to photograph the back & inner surface of the eye where important structures like the optic nerve and macula reside; This test is especially recommended for patients experiencing headaches, flashes of light, floaters, decreasing visual acuity and patients with a personal or family history of glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetes.
