Our History:

Larche Communications Inc. (Larche) is owned by Paul Larche. Paul has worked in the media and marketing business for over 40 years. As general manager of Telemedia Network Radio, Paul oversaw the marketing and radio broadcast efforts of the Toronto Blues and Toronto Maple Leafs. He purchased CICZ FM Midland in 1995. The station was branded “KICX” and went on to win 25 industry awards over the next 15 years, including the Canadian Country Music Association Station of the Year 8 times. In 2002, Paul launched KICX 96.5 in Kitchener/Waterloo. In 2008, Larche purchased CICX FM Orillia. The station was rebranded “The Dock”. In 2009, Larche launched KICX 91.7 in Sudbury and in 2010 launched 92.3 The Dock in Owen Sound. The company grew from 5 employees to over 80. The stations have been recognized as industry leaders and have raised over $3.5 million dollars for their communities – most notably with the “Radio for” campaigns. 

In March 2018, Larche sold it’s radio assets to Bell Media, who continue to maintain the brands.

Along with his daughter, Jessica, Paul launched Larche Digital Media in 2012, to offer digital marketing services to clients in Simcoe County, Sudbury and Owen Sound.

In July 2018, Larche purchased the SME and Hosting division of TygerShark.  

Paul Larche is on the board of the RVH Foundation and is vice-chair of the Georgian College Board of Governors.
