Dr Michael Robinson received his Honours Degree in Life Sciences from Queen's University in 1983 and in 1987 he earned his dental degree (DDS) from the University of Western Ontario. In addition to being an active member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), and the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (TACD), he's also a member of the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) — the world's largest association of aesthetic dentistry.
Since 1987, Dr. Robinson has worked in private practice as a general practitioner in Barrie, Ontario. Committed to the health and comfort of his patients, he has special interest in neuromuscular and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Robinson has furthered his studies by completing numerous courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). Since 1993 he has received certificates in the following areas: Advanced Aesthetics, Smile Design, and Head, Neck and TMJ pain.
Outside the office, Dr. Robinson is known for his love of sports and sharing activities with his family and friends. In particular, he enjoys snow-skiiing (Level 4 Demonstrator CSIA), golf, water-sports, mountain-biking and squash. In addition, he's an active member of the community, having joined the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce in 2006.
Inside the office, Dr. Robinson realizes that being great requires a great team, and he surrounds himself with just that. He's passionate about what he does and believes he has a choice. He can perform the dentistry he was taught in school, or he can perform life-changing dentistry. He chose the latter. Far from being just a molar mechanic, he's a physician of the mouth. He informs patients about what they can do to reach optimal form and function, whether that includes cosmetic, or neuromuscular dentistry. Then he leaves the choice up to the patient.
Dr. Robinson's commitment to continuing education and a service-oriented practice, supports his belief that people want more than just a nice smile. They want to feel better as well. They want to feel younger, more confident. This dental group understands that your feelings and emotions count.
