What's New at SparkYourVitality? Over the years, having studied the different learning styles and patterns of behaviour, there are some key components to how we each make decisions,
manage daily tasks and get stuff done. What I have also discovered is that when
we really lean into our strengths, we can accomplish more and we are much
more effective. How you ask? Think about the last time you had to study for
and/or write an exam or learn something new. What strength(s) did you draw on
to remember the information leading up to writing the exam or performing the
task? How did you recall that information?
For
visual learners, they will read and re-read their notes over and over again.
During the exam or performing the task, they are able to visualize the
examples, the words, the formulas, etc. and easily recall the information as
though it were a photograph in their mind.For those who are kinesthetic, they might re-write their notes over and
over again and be able to draw on that physical memory to respond to questions
on the exam or to perform the task.For auditory
learners, they can usually be found studying with someone and asking them to
quiz them over and over or they may read aloud or recite information –you get
the idea!The point being, when we allow
our bodies and our minds to truly work together and we lean into our strengths, we are far more
