Do you have a sump pump? Prevent a flood, check your pump now. Is it plugged in. Remove pit cover & remove any debris blocking flow. The pump should not be sitting on the bottom, it should be on a brick, so it doesn't suck sand washed into pit. Lift the float to ensure pump will come on. Finally, check outside for any obstructions so the water will flow away from the the house. Call me for help.

Do you lock all the windows in your house in the winter? Winter is not over yet. Save some energy by locking your windows. Most locks have a cam on them that ensures the window is tightly closed, sealing out the cold. If you are one of those people who likes to sleep with a window open year round, only open the window while you are sleeping and keep the bedroom door closed.

Prevent mold & moisture damage in your home this winter. Clean and inspect all bathroom fans and kitchen exhaust fans for proper function. Turn the fan on and hold a kleenex up to it. It should hold the tissue to the grill. If not, you could have a ventilation problem. Moisture leads to mold. Call me if you think you need help.
